Role Summary
The EDA R&D Engineering Engineer plays an integral role in semiconductor design and software development, focusing on delivering high-quality EDA products.
Experience Level
Mid-level, with at least 5 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering or a related field.
Responsibilities
The Engineer will perform the following tasks:
- Design, implement, maintain, test, and document software modules and sub-systems for EDA products.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve development objectives and ensure software quality.
- Conduct bug verification, release testing, and beta support for assigned EDA products.
- Research and resolve technical issues reported by QA or product support, developing innovative solutions.
- Work under supervision, receiving guidance and mentorship.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Ideal candidates should meet the following requirements:
- BS in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with EDA solutions or semiconductor design.
- Proficient with Ansys Totem, IC layout editors, and spice simulation tools.
- Knowledge of commercial CAE, CAD, EDA software platforms.
- Familiarity with signal integrity applications, electronic migration, and IC signoff criteria.
Education Requirements
BS in Electrical Engineering or a related field required.
