Division Regional Development Applications Engineer
Role Summary
Work within KLA's FaST (Film and Scatterometry Technology) division to lead customer demonstrations and technical validation of metrology tools for semiconductor fabs, primarily supporting SK Hynix. The role focuses on showcasing tool performance, developing use cases, and supporting new feature and wafer demonstrations from R&D through high-volume implementation.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include customer-facing demonstrations and tool characterization.
- Manage in-house customer demonstrations and head-to-head (H2H) evaluations at customer sites.
- Conduct new tool demonstrations to showcase performance and develop customer-focused use cases that support sales.
- Design and execute experiments to characterize tool and subcomponent performance during alpha and beta testing.
- Collaborate with division teams to support offline/online activities for new feature tests and wafer demonstrations.
- Work closely with major customers (mainly SK Hynix) to ensure successful technology adoption and performance entitlement.
- Provide clear written and verbal technical communication to internal teams and customers.
Requirements
Must-have technical experience and capabilities for the role.
- Hands-on experience running tool demonstrations and customer engagements.
- Experience designing experiments for equipment characterization and testing.
- Familiarity with semiconductor fab processes is preferred.
- Experience with OCD-related tools or measurements is a strong plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for customer-facing activities.
Education Requirements
MS or above in Physics, Optics, Electronics, Mechanics, Materials, or a related technical field is required. The posting specifies a master's degree with approximately 1–7 years of relevant experience.
