Role Summary
The Display Systems Team at Meta is looking for a Display Driver IC Engineer to lead the development of a custom pixel pipeline for our proprietary driver ICs. This role involves close collaboration with internal teams and external vendors to design, evaluate, and implement display technology for virtual reality products.
Experience Level
This position is suitable for candidates with 6+ years of experience in Display Drivers or analogous technologies, with a focus on industry-standard practices and advanced hardware architecture.
Responsibilities
- Define and architect proprietary display IP tailored for VR displays.
- Design and implement algorithms in Verilog, focusing on optimized gate-count to meet performance benchmarks.
- Work with DDIC vendors to align IP architecture with DDIC design requirements.
- Oversee the integration of IP within vendor DDICs and manage chip-level verification.
- Participate in design reviews and evaluate digital design flows, including verification coverage and timing signoff.
- Collaborate with systems teams to test and validate the production readiness of algorithms.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields (or equivalent experience) and possess:
- A minimum of 6 years of experience working on Display Drivers or similar technology.
- Experience in designing pixel pipelines and display IPs.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Matlab, Python, or C++.
- Strong communication skills for conveying complex technical concepts.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field; a PhD degree is preferred but not mandatory.
