Role Summary

The Display Systems Team within the VR organization at Meta is seeking a Display Driver IC Engineer to lead the development of custom pixel pipeline technology for Meta’s display driver ICs. This position requires close collaboration with various teams and vendors to design and implement display technology for upcoming VR products.

Experience Level

This role is aimed at individuals with significant experience, specifically 6+ years in Display Driver technology or related fields.

Responsibilities

  • Define hardware architecture of proprietary display IP for VR displays.
  • Design and implement Verilog algorithms with optimized gate-count to meet performance targets.
  • Ensure architectural consistency between proprietary IP and DDIC designs with vendors.
  • Supervise chip-level verification and participate in DDIC design reviews.
  • Collaborate with system teams to test the algorithm for production readiness.

Requirements

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields, along with 6+ years of experience in display driver technologies. Knowledge in pixel pipeline design and proficiency in at least one programming language such as Matlab, Python, or C++ is required.

Education Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required, with a PhD preferred for candidates looking for advanced positions in Optical Sciences, Physics, or similar fields.
