The role combines technical leadership, team building, and cross-functional program execution from product definition through productization.
This is a founding leadership position: you will hire and mentor engineers, define development methodology, and set technical direction for a new design center focused on high-performance SoC and IP development.
Experience Level
Senior — director-level. Posting requests 12–15+ years of RTL and/or verification experience and 3+ years managing a design team.
Responsibilities
Core responsibilities include technical leadership, team growth, program execution, and process improvement.
- Recruit, build, and manage a cross-functional team of subsystem, co-processor, accelerator, SoC, design, verification, and physical-design engineers.
- Define design strategy, methodologies, infrastructure and tooling to address advanced process, I/O, networking bandwidth, embedded cores, and accelerator challenges.
- Coordinate with architecture, software/firmware, program management, and post-silicon teams from product definition through productization.
- Provide technical mentorship and career development for engineering staff; retain and grow talent.
- Drive improvements in design methodologies, verification techniques, and automation.
- Own project schedules, progress metrics, and regular reporting against budget and market timing requirements.

- Experience across all phases of silicon development: concept, architecture, execution, and productization.
- Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and communicate effectively with engineering, marketing, and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated mentoring and talent retention success.
- Experience with advanced semiconductor process technologies, high-speed I/Os, networking bandwidth considerations, embedded cores, and co-processor/accelerator integration.
- Strong judgment in prioritizing work relative to technical value, cost, schedule, and market timing.
- Must be eligible to access export-controlled technology; non-U.S. applicants may be subject to export license review prior to employment.
