Director of FE Engineering - SoC MCU

Role Summary

Lead front-end (FE) engineering for SoC MCU development at the Yokneam site, managing RTL and DV teams located in Israel and India and coordinating external contractors. The role is responsible for delivery of FE activities across multi-disciplined, multi-location teams.

Drive technical execution, set priorities, and ensure timely completion of verification and RTL deliverables within an agile framework.

Experience Level

Senior — minimum ~20 years of relevant industry experience (as stated in the posting).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include team leadership, technical oversight, and program delivery for SoC FE work.

• Lead RTL and DV efforts for SoC MCU projects across Israel and India teams.
• Direct all SoC front-end engineering activities and verification strategy.
• Manage and coordinate work with external contractors and outsourced resources worldwide.
• Oversee multiple managers and individual contributors; provide guidance and foster professional growth.
• Set clear priorities, define objectives, and track progress using agile practices to meet schedules and quality targets.
• Ensure collaboration across hardware-software interfaces and multi-core SoC environments.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, management experience, and personal attributes.

• Minimum ~20 years of industry experience in SoC/ASIC development.
• Strong knowledge of RTL and design verification (DV) methodologies.
• Experience with UVM and verification toolchains.
• Familiarity with Cadence and Synopsys simulators and verification tools.
• Proven experience managing distributed teams across multiple countries and handling external contractors.
• Experience with hardware-software interfaces and multi-core SoC architectures.
• Excellent communication skills; able to operate independently and as a team player.
• Nice-to-have: experience with ultra-low power design techniques.
• Nice-to-have: knowledge of Python programming.

Education Requirements

Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electrical Engineering required by the posting; Master of Science (MSc) is listed as an advantage. No certifications or equivalent-experience language specified beyond the degree preference.
