Director of Engineering - IP Methodology

Role Overview

The Director of Engineering for IP Methodology will lead the development of innovative methodologies and platforms to enhance productivity within Synopsys’ IP group. Position Summary

The selected candidate will spearhead the creation of standardized front-end design methodologies, fostering a culture of collaboration while ensuring alignment with industry standards. This role is pivotal in enhancing quality, performance, and customer satisfaction through best practices and advanced methodologies.

Experience Level

Candidates must possess over 15 years of experience in semiconductor IP development and R&D leadership, with a solid track record in system architecture and deployment of EDA platforms across multi-functional organizations.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead the development of front-end design methodologies to optimize productivity and performance across Synopsys IP group.
• Implement advanced tools and methodologies to streamline processes and enhance quality.
• Serve as a mentor, guiding teams through complex technical challenges.
• Maintain representation of Synopsys within industry forums and consortia.
• Collaborate with diverse teams to align projects with industry standards and best practices.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate should demonstrate proficiency in Verilog and System Verilog, timing solutions, and low-power flows. Experience with interface IPs such as PCIe and Ethernet is essential, along with a strong understanding of emerging semiconductor technologies.

Education Requirements

A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required, with advanced degrees preferred.
