Job Title
Director, Neural Graphics Chips
Role Summary
Lead strategy and execution for neural graphics across silicon, platform, and graphics APIs. Guide hardware, platform, and API features to bring neural rendering techniques into production and influence next-generation GPU architecture and developer-facing tooling.
The role leads a multidisciplinary engineering organization spanning GPU architecture liaison, console/platform engineering, and graphics API/compiler strategy.
Experience Level
Senior — typically 15+ years in graphics/GPU or related platform engineering with 6+ years leading engineering teams.
Responsibilities
Accountable for technical strategy, cross-team coordination, and team leadership to deliver neural graphics capabilities.
- Set strategic direction for neural graphics across silicon, console platforms, and graphics APIs; translate research into hardware features and platform capabilities.
- Lead and grow a multidisciplinary team of managers and senior engineers; hire and develop technical leaders.
- Partner with GPU Architecture on feature definition, hardware/software co-design, and chip bring-up for neural graphics features.
- Own roadmap and partner coordination with console and platform partners, including prioritization, validation, and launch readiness.
- Shape graphics API and shader language strategy to expose neural graphics primitives to developers.
Requirements
Must-have technical experience and leadership skills.
- 15+ years in graphics, GPU, or related platform engineering.
- 6+ years managing engineering teams and senior individual contributors.
- Deep expertise in GPU architecture, graphics pipelines, and hardware/software co-design.
- Expertise in at least two of: graphics drivers, shader compilation, graphics APIs (Vulkan, Direct3D, Metal), or shading languages.
- Experience driving technical direction across large organizations (architecture, research, platform, product).
- Hands-on experience with agentic or AI-assisted development workflows.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with driver internals (Vulkan/OpenGL), SPIR-V or shader translation, tiled rasterization, or compute-based pipeline implementations.
- Experience shipping in embedded or console environments.
- Background in neural rendering, differentiable graphics, or AI-assisted rendering techniques.
- Proven influence on graphics API or shading/compiler stack direction.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Graphics, or a related technical field — or equivalent practical experience.
