Director, ASICS Engineering

Role Summary

As a Qualcomm ASIC Director, you will set technical direction and lead end-to-end execution across ASIC definition, digital and/or analog design, verification, implementation, and documentation for high-performance, low-power products. You will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to drive architecture and execution decisions, manage key trade-offs, and ensure predictable delivery against quality, schedule, and power/performance targets.

Experience Level

Senior; 10 to 14+ years of relevant experience based on education level.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead end-to-end SoC delivery across definition, implementation, verification, and production ramp.
• Own digital design execution from definition through design, verification, and documentation.
• Define architecture and circuit specifications and govern the full digital implementation flow.
• Drive data-driven debug and correlation to improve yield and robustness.
• Mentor senior engineers and influence platform roadmap decisions.
• Lead analog design execution and oversee silicon bring-up and validation.
• Ensure algorithm-to-hardware alignment and measurable system-level gains.
• Oversee SoC implementation and signoff, including packaging and production readiness.

Requirements

Minimum qualifications are:

• Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering plus 14+ years of relevant experience, or
• Master's degree in Science or Engineering plus 12+ years of relevant experience, or
• PhD in Science or Engineering plus 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in ASIC design, verification, validation, and integration.

Education Requirements

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field.
