Role Summary

The Digital Verification Lead defines and drives verification strategy and execution for IP, subsystem, or IC projects. This role ensures functional correctness against specifications and produces verification deliverables and documentation.

Works with product architects, design teams, and verification engineers to plan, implement, and sign off verification activities.

Responsibilities

Accountable for verification planning and delivery; leads technical verification activities and coordinates across teams.

• Define verification strategy and create verification plans for IP, subsystem, or SoC projects.
• Develop, maintain, and execute test cases to validate functionality against specifications.
• Design and implement verification environments, testbenches, and models as needed.
• Ensure coverage goals and sign-off criteria are met; perform root-cause analysis of functional failures.
• Author verification documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Mentor and coordinate verification engineers; review testplans and results.
• Collaborate with architects and designers to close verification gaps and improve quality.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience required to perform the role; preferred items listed where applicable.

• Proven experience in digital functional verification and verification planning.
• Experience with verification languages and methodologies (e.g., SystemVerilog, UVM) and coverage-driven verification.
• Skill in creating verification environments, testbenches, and models; familiarity with simulation tools and debug flows.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills to coordinate verification activities and teams.
• Experience with scripting for verification automation (e.g., Python, TCL) and working knowledge of assertion-based verification and coverage closure.
• Nice to have: experience with subsystem/SoC level verification and integration testing.
