Job Title

Digital Product and Test Development Engineer (up to Senior)

Role Summary

Work on hardware product and test development within the Hardware Engineering team to plan, design, verify and validate electronic systems, perform bring-up and yield improvement, and support test systems for production. The role collaborates with design, verification, validation, software and manufacturing teams to meet performance, quality and schedule targets.

Experience Level

Mid-level to Senior. Typical experience: ~2+ years in hardware engineering (preferred 3+); 2+ years of circuit design experience is common for this role.

Responsibilities

Primary duties include design, verification, test and manufacturing support for hardware products.

  • Plan, optimize, verify and test electronic systems including digital, analog, RF, optical, FPGA and/or DSP subsystems.
  • Perform bring-up and yield improvement activities; develop solutions to improve test time and product quality.
  • Integrate features and functionality into hardware designs per proposals or roadmaps.
  • Conduct simulations and analyses and implement designs with attention to power, performance and area trade-offs.
  • Evaluate and develop manufacturing/test solutions and characterize reliability of materials and techniques.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, verification, validation, software, architecture, manufacturing) to implement requirements.
  • Document technical work and communicate results to stakeholders.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and behaviors.

  • Experience with circuit design (digital, analog, RF) and practical hardware debugging.
  • Proficiency with schematic capture and circuit simulation tools.
  • Hands-on use of hardware test and measurement instruments (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF tools, etc.).
  • Ability to run simulations, analyze results, and implement design trade-offs for power, performance and area.
  • Experience collaborating across engineering teams and supporting production programs.
  • Strong technical writing, verbal communication, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Nice-to-have: experience with FPGA/DSP systems, manufacturing automation/optimization, and test system development.

Education Requirements

Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering or a related field with ~2+ years of hardware engineering experience; OR Master's degree in those fields with ~1+ year of hardware engineering experience; OR PhD in a related field. Preferred: Master's degree and ~3+ years of hardware engineering or related experience.
