Role Overview
The Digital Implementation Applications Engineer at Synopsys is responsible for providing expert technical support for digital design tasks. This role involves collaborating closely with customers to utilize Synopsys EDA tools effectively and improve their design workflows.
Position Summary
We are looking for an engineer experienced in digital design and EDA applications. The role requires strong communication skills and a deep understanding of RTL design, synthesis, and ASIC or SoC projects. This position demands a commitment to customer success and continuous learning.
Experience Level
5+ years in digital design, ASIC/SoC development, or EDA engineering is required. The ability to work predominantly in-person in Munich is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to customers in using Synopsys tools.
- Understand and address customer needs for improved EDA tool usability.
- Partner with customers to develop effective technical solutions.
- Collaborate with Sales to prospect for new business opportunities.
- Provide feedback to R&D teams to influence product development.
- Diagnose and resolve customer technical issues effectively.
- Deliver technical training and presentations to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Expertise in RTL design and synthesis, proficiency in tools like Design Compiler or Fusion Compiler.
- Strong understanding of timing closure and low-power design methodologies.
- Fluent in English and German.
- Ability to handle complex technical challenges with a customer-focused approach.
- Program management skills are beneficial but not mandatory.
Education Requirements
A degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field is typically required, along with relevant experience in the semiconductor industry.
