Role Summary
The Digital IC Design Engineer will be part of the Custom compute and solutions group at Marvell. The engineer will focus on designing hardware for datacenter and AI SoCs, collaborating with cross-functional teams to produce high-quality hardware solutions.

Senior-level position requiring 8-12 years of related professional experience, depending on educational background.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities include:
- Define the micro-architecture of SoCs, including blocks, cores, accelerators, and subsystems.
- Collaborate with architecture, floor planning, backend, verification, DFT, and STA teams.
- Develop and write micro-architectural specifications.
- Implement designs using RTL coding and low power techniques.
- Coordinate with backend and verification teams for synthesis and timing signoff.
- Plan tasks in collaboration with a project manager.
- Resolve lab issues with the post-silicon group.
- Work with software teams to meet customer use case requirements.
Requirements
Required qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields plus 12+ years of experience; a Master’s degree with 10+ years; or a PhD with 8+ years.
- Fluency in System Verilog RTL coding techniques.
- Familiarity with SoC architectures and interface technologies like AXI, HBM, Ethernet, PCIe, and D2D.
- Experience in micro-architecture of custom/ASIC products, particularly NPU, embedded processors, or DSP.
- RTL design skills and knowledge of timing closure and verification processes.
- Experience with high-speed, high-performance SOC products is a plus.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Perl, Tcl, UNIX shell) is desirable.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields; a Master’s or PhD is also acceptable with relevant experience.
