Role Summary
The Digital Design Manager is responsible for leading a team in the development of digital components for power management integrated circuits (PMICs). This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to integrate both digital and analog components effectively.
Experience Level
Senior level, requiring 15+ years of experience in digital design, particularly in Analog Mixed Signal ICs.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities include:
- Manage the Digital Design team to meet design deadlines and requirements.
- Mentor team members and review their performance regularly.
- Define Dig-Ana boundaries and digital design scopes.
- Oversee micro-architectures and sub-block designs.
- Ensure effective collaboration for logic synthesis, formal verification, and power estimation.
- Implement filters and feedback loops within digital designs.
- Lead silicon debug and root cause analysis activities.
- Establish digital design methodologies and flows to enhance design quality.
Requirements
The candidate must have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 15+ years of experience in digital design, especially in Mixed Signal ICs.
- Experience with chip design, verification, and taking ICs to production.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to foster a creative work environment.
- Collaboration experience with senior management on strategic objectives.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
