RTL Design Jobs, Level - Mid-Career

Job Title

Digital Design Engineer

Role Summary

Design and implement synthesizable digital RTL for ASIC/FPGA IP used in high-performance interface and controller products. Work within a digital design team to deliver RTL that meets timing, area, and power targets and to support silicon bring-up and FPGA prototyping.

Collaborate with verification, synthesis, physical design, and system teams to integrate and validate digital IP used in data-center and embedded systems.

Experience Level

Mid-level — specific years of experience not stated.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Develop synthesizable RTL (SystemVerilog) for digital IP blocks and controllers.
  • Perform RTL coding, code reviews, and enforce coding and linting standards.
  • Collaborate with verification teams to support testbenches, assertions, and functional coverage.
  • Work with synthesis and implementation teams to meet timing, area, and power requirements.
  • Support FPGA prototyping, lab bring-up, and debug of silicon issues.
  • Automate flows and create scripts/tools to support design, build, and validation (TCL, Python, etc.).

Requirements

Core requirements:

  • Practical experience with SystemVerilog RTL design and coding for ASIC or FPGA projects.
  • Familiarity with synthesis tools and static timing analysis (STA) and implementation flows.
  • Experience with common EDA tool flows and version control systems.
  • Ability to debug RTL, perform code reviews, and collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Scripting ability (Python, TCL, or similar) to automate validation and build tasks.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with high-speed interfaces (DDR, PCIe, SerDes) or memory interface IP.
  • Experience with FPGA prototyping and board-level validation.
  • Familiarity with low-power design techniques and physical-design constraints.

Education Requirements

Not specified.
