Job Title

DFT Engineer, Graviton Team

Role Summary

Design-for-Test (DFT) engineer responsible for architecting and implementing advanced DFT solutions for Graviton semiconductor platforms within Annapurna Labs (AWS).

Work with cross-functional silicon design, verification, and bring-up teams to ensure testability, debug capability, and robust manufacturing diagnostics for cloud-scale processors.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” requires professional DFT experience; basic qualifications specify 3+ years in a semiconductor company as a DFT engineer.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include design, verification, and support activities for DFT on complex chips.

  • Design and implement advanced DFT architectures and scan networks for complex SoCs.
  • Create high-quality test and debug patterns to validate silicon functionality and diagnostics.
  • Perform static timing analysis across multiple DFT modes and configurations.
  • Verify DFT logic and components through simulations and validation flows.
  • Support silicon bring-up, device diagnostics, and debug during lab validation and production ramp.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred technical skills for the role.

  • Must-have: 3+ years of experience as a DFT engineer in a semiconductor company.
  • Must-have: Practical experience with scan insertion tools, ATPG, and gate-level simulations.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with Verilog and SystemVerilog for DFT-related RTL and test logic.
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with verification platforms such as UVM, FPGA, and emulator environments.
  • Nice-to-have: Advanced scripting skills (e.g., Perl, Tcl) to automate flows and analysis.
  • Nice-to-have: Prior chip design or system-level design exposure to integrate DFT effectively.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering is requested, or equivalent practical experience. The posting lists "Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent" (i.e., equivalent practical experience is accepted).
