DFT Engineer, Graviton Team

Role Summary

Design and verify design-for-test (DFT) architectures and test solutions for Graviton semiconductor platforms at Annapurna Labs within AWS. Work with chip-design, validation, and silicon teams to ensure manufacturability, testability, and successful silicon bring-up.

Experience Level

Mid-level — typically requires 3+ years of experience as a DFT engineer in a semiconductor company.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include designing DFT infrastructure, creating test content, and supporting bring-up and diagnostics.

• Design and implement advanced DFT architectures for complex SoCs.
• Develop high-quality test and debug patterns to ensure robust production testing.
• Perform comprehensive static timing analysis across DFT modes.
• Verify DFT logic and components; create verification plans and testbenches.
• Support silicon bring-up, device diagnostics, and failure analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, validation, tools) to integrate DFT solutions.

Requirements

Must-have technical experience and skills.

• 3+ years of experience as a DFT engineer in a semiconductor company.
• Hands-on experience with DFT architecture, scan networks, and test pattern development.
• Experience performing static timing analysis related to DFT modes.
• Experience supporting silicon bring-up and device diagnostics.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with Verilog / SystemVerilog and chip design flows.
• Familiarity with scan insertion tools, ATPG, and gate-level simulations.
• Experience with verification platforms (UVM), FPGA and emulator environments.
• Scripting skills (Perl, Tcl).

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field — or equivalent practical experience (the posting allows equivalent experience in lieu of a degree).
