Job Title

DFT Engineer, Graviton Team

Role Summary

Design and implement design-for-test (DFT) architectures and test/debug patterns for Graviton semiconductor platforms within Annapurna Labs at Amazon Web Services. Work spans DFT verification, static timing analysis, silicon bring-up, and device diagnostics to support AWS compute infrastructure.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” typically requires 3+ years of DFT engineering experience in a semiconductor company.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Design and implement advanced DFT architectures for complex SoCs.
  • Develop and validate test and debug patterns for robust production testing.
  • Perform static timing analysis across multiple DFT modes and flows.
  • Verify DFT logic and components using gate-level simulation, emulation, and FPGA environments.
  • Support silicon bring-up, device diagnostics, and production/test automation efforts.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience as a DFT engineer in a semiconductor company.
  • Practical experience with Verilog and SystemVerilog.
  • Experience with scan insertion tools, ATPG, and gate-level simulation.
  • Familiarity with verification platforms such as UVM, FPGA, and hardware emulators.
  • Strong scripting/automation skills (Perl, Tcl).
  • Ability to perform timing analysis and debug silicon-level issues.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with Tessent Streaming Scan Network (SSN) or similar scan-network architectures.
  • Experience with cloud-scale or in-fleet test methodologies and automation.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. (The posting specifies a bachelor's degree or equivalent and mentions 3+ years of DFT experience.)
