Job Title

DFT Engineer, Graviton Team

Role Summary

The Design-for-Test (DFT) Engineer will design and implement DFT architectures and test solutions for high-performance Graviton semiconductor platforms. The role is embedded in a chip-design team at Annapurna Labs within AWS and supports silicon bring-up, verification, and device diagnostics.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” requires at least 3 years of experience as a DFT engineer in a semiconductor company (per basic qualifications).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focus on DFT architecture, verification, and support for silicon deliverables.

  • Design and implement advanced DFT architectures for complex semiconductor platforms.
  • Develop test and debug patterns to ensure robust manufacturing and in-field testability.
  • Perform static timing analysis across multiple DFT modes.
  • Verify DFT logic and components, including scan chains and related infrastructure.
  • Support silicon bring-up, device diagnostics, and failure analysis during lab debug.
  • Collaborate with system, RTL, and verification teams to integrate DFT features into the design flow.

Requirements

Concise list of must-have and preferred technical skills and experience. Education details are summarized separately below.

Must-have

  • 3+ years of DFT engineering experience in a semiconductor company.
  • Experience with DFT architectures, scan insertion tools, and ATPG workflows.
  • Experience with Verilog/SystemVerilog and gate-level simulation for test/verification.
  • Experience with static timing analysis and verification of DFT logic.
  • Practical experience supporting silicon bring-up and device diagnostics.

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with UVM testbenches, FPGA or emulator environments for verification.
  • Experience with scripting for automation (Perl, Tcl) and related verification tooling.
  • Prior experience on server-class or cloud-infrastructure SoC designs.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. The posting explicitly allows equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
