DFT Engineer / GPU Logic Design Engineer
Intel CorporationJob Title
DFT Engineer / GPU Logic Design Engineer
Role Summary
Design and validate GPU logic and DFT features for compute, display, and media IP blocks. Work includes RTL coding, simulation, optimization for power/performance/area/timing, and ensuring block-level readiness for SoC integration.
Team: GPU Hardware IP within Intel Data Center Group (DCG). The role supports delivery of GPU blocks for data-center GPU solutions and collaborates with verification, physical implementation, and SoC integration teams.
Experience Level
Mid-level. Typical experience expectations per posting: Bachelor's degree +3 years industry experience, Master's degree +2 years, or PhD with no prior professional experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities focus on RTL design, verification, and integration support for GPU blocks.
- Develop logic design, write RTL, and run simulations for graphics IP blocks.
- Define and implement architecture and microarchitecture features for GPU units.
- Optimize logic design to meet power, performance, area, and timing targets and to support physical implementation.
- Create and review verification plans; drive unit-level verification and resolve RTL test failures.
- Support silicon bring-up, debug, and test pattern development for production readiness.
- Collaborate with SoC customers and cross-functional teams to integrate GPU blocks into larger designs.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- Proven experience with DFT features such as TAP/JTAG, Scan/ATPG, or Array DFT (MBIST/PBIST).
- Proficiency with EDA tools including ATPG tools, Mentor Tessent shell, VCS simulation, and debug tools.
- Experience in silicon enabling debug and test pattern development.
- Strong RTL coding, simulation, and logic optimization skills for digital blocks.
Nice-to-have / preferred:
- Scripting and automation for design and verification flows.
- Familiarity with structural design flow: timing, placement, routing, and clock analysis.
- Knowledge of high-volume manufacturing test flows and requirements.
- Understanding of 3D, media, and display graphics pipelines and SoC architecture principles.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with 3+ years of industry experience; or Master's degree in the same fields with 2+ years of industry experience; or a PhD in a related field (acceptable with no prior professional experience). Related technical fields are acceptable as specified in the posting.
