Job Title

DFT Engineer – Cloud-Scale Semiconductors & Verification

Role Summary

The DFT Engineer will design and implement design-for-test (DFT) architectures and verification flows for cloud-scale semiconductor platforms within Annapurna Labs at Amazon Web Services. The role focuses on testability of SoC designs through test pattern development and static timing analysis.

This position involves collaboration with RTL, physical design, and validation teams to improve silicon test coverage and debug test failures.

Experience Level

Mid-level; requires approximately 3+ years of relevant semiconductor or DFT engineering experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Design and implement DFT architectures for SoC and IP blocks.
  • Develop and validate test patterns and test flows to maximize fault coverage.
  • Perform static timing analysis relevant to DFT structures and testability.
  • Integrate DFT features with RTL and physical design constraints.
  • Debug silicon and pre-silicon test failures and collaborate on root-cause analysis.
  • Create verification methodologies, scripts, and documentation for test flows.
  • Work cross-functionally with verification, design, and manufacturing teams to deliver testable silicon.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred qualifications:

  • Must-have: 3+ years of related experience in DFT, test development, or semiconductor verification.
  • Must-have: Demonstrated experience designing DFT architectures and developing test patterns.
  • Must-have: Experience performing static timing analysis as it relates to test structures and timing closure.
  • Must-have: Practical experience working with RTL and physical-design teams to implement testability features.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with SoC or cloud-scale semiconductor platforms, EDA tools, or scripting for automation (e.g., Python, Tcl).
  • Nice-to-have: Experience debugging silicon bring-up and working with test labs.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (specified). The posting also specifies 3+ years of related experience.
