Job Title

DFT Engineer — Cloud-Scale Semiconductors & Verification

Role Summary

Join Annapurna Labs at Amazon Web Services to design and validate design-for-test (DFT) solutions for cloud-scale semiconductor platforms. The role focuses on DFT architecture, test pattern development, and static timing analysis to ensure manufacturable, testable silicon.

This position involves cross-functional collaboration with design, verification, and test teams and requires practical semiconductor test engineering skills.

Experience Level

Mid-level — typically requires 3+ years of relevant semiconductor or DFT experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Design and implement DFT architectures for ASIC/SoC platforms.
  • Develop and validate test patterns, ATPG flows, and test vectors.
  • Perform static timing analysis relevant to DFT insertion and testability.
  • Analyze silicon test failures and support root-cause diagnosis.
  • Collaborate with design and verification teams during design reviews and bring-up.
  • Document test plans, results, and recommended design changes.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in semiconductor DFT, test engineering, or related roles.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing DFT architectures and test patterns.
  • Experience with static timing analysis impacting test insertion and testability.
  • Familiarity with silicon test, failure analysis, and cross-team collaboration.
  • Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with EDA/ATPG tools, silicon bring-up, or cloud-scale hardware platforms.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering required (as stated). The posting also specifies 3+ years of related experience. No certifications or alternate-degree language provided.
