Job Title
DFT Engineer
Role Summary
Join Annapurna Labs (an Amazon Web Services organization) as a DFT Engineer to design and verify design-for-test (DFT) architectures for complex semiconductor platforms that support AWS infrastructure.
You will collaborate with SoC, verification, and silicon teams to deliver test patterns, debug flows, timing analysis, and device bring-up for production-grade chips.
Experience Level
Mid-level β requires 3+ years of relevant DFT engineering experience in a semiconductor company.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include designing and validating DFT for chips and supporting production diagnostics.
- Design and implement advanced DFT architectures for complex semiconductor platforms.
- Develop and validate test and debug patterns to ensure robust test coverage and yield.
- Perform static timing analysis across multiple DFT modes.
- Verify DFT logic and components using industry-standard verification methodologies.
- Support silicon bring-up, failure analysis, and device diagnostics.
Requirements
Must-have technical experience and expectations; preferred skills listed separately.
- 3+ years of experience as a DFT engineer in a semiconductor company.
- Practical experience designing and implementing DFT architectures and test patterns.
- Experience performing static timing analysis for DFT modes and validating gate-level behavior.
- Hands-on involvement in silicon bring-up and device-level diagnostics.
Preferred:
- Experience with Verilog and SystemVerilog.
- Experience with scan insertion tools, ATPG tooling, and gate-level simulation.
- Familiarity with verification platforms (UVM testbench), FPGA, and emulator environments.
- Advanced scripting skills (Perl, Tcl) to automate flows and debug tasks.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
If you require a hiring accommodation due to a disability, see Accommodation information for details.
