Role Summary

Design and implement Design-for-Test (DFT) architectures and verification for complex semiconductor platforms within Annapurna Labs (part of AWS). The role focuses on enabling robust testability, performing static timing analysis, developing test/debug patterns, and supporting silicon bring-up and device diagnostics for cloud infrastructure chips.

Experience Level

Mid-level — typically requires 3+ years of semiconductor DFT engineering experience.

Responsibilities

Contribute to DFT architecture, verification, and silicon validation across development phases.

• Design and implement advanced DFT architectures for complex SoCs and platforms.
• Develop high-quality test and debug patterns to ensure manufacturing and field reliability.
• Perform static timing analysis for multiple DFT modes and flows.
• Verify DFT logic and components using simulation and verification methodologies.
• Support silicon bring-up, device diagnostics, and post-silicon debug activities.

Requirements

Core qualifications and practical skills required and preferred.

• Must-have: 3+ years of experience working as a DFT engineer in a semiconductor company.
• Must-have: Practical experience designing and implementing DFT architectures and developing test/debug patterns.
• Must-have: Experience performing static timing analysis across DFT modes and verifying DFT logic.
• Must-have: Experience supporting silicon bring-up and device diagnostics.
• Nice-to-have: Chip design experience and knowledge of Verilog/SystemVerilog.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with scan insertion tools, ATPG, and gate-level simulations.
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with UVM test benches, FPGA and emulator environments.
• Nice-to-have: Scripting skills (Perl, Tcl) for automation and flow integration.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent technical field; or equivalent practical experience.
