DevOps Engineer
Role Summary
Work within the mixed-signal simulation (Symphony) team to design, implement, and maintain infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, build and release systems, and automated development environments for Siemens EDA products.
The role supports global development, QA, and IT teams to ensure reliable, scalable, and repeatable build, test, and release processes.
Experience Level
Mid-level β 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in build, release, and configuration management.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities focus on creating and operating robust automation and infrastructure for development and release workflows.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Jenkins administration.
- Own build, regression, release, install, and release-management processes.
- Manage version control workflows using Git/GitLab and large file support (LFS).
- Automate development and day-to-day operations with scripting on Linux (Shell, Perl, Python).
- Configure and maintain build and automation toolchains (GCC, CMake, Boost, Python, Perl).
- Manage containers, machine configurations, and grid resources for scalable test and build infrastructure.
- Collaborate with global developers, QA, and IT to support product releases and operational needs.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of architecture, processes, and tooling.
Requirements
