Design Verification Intern
Role Summary
Internship supporting Quadric's Design Verification team to verify a next-generation processor (GPNPU). Work directly with hardware architects and designers to write tests, generate coverage, and help validate micro-architecture and architecture-level behavior.
Experience Level
Entry-level internship. Suitable for current students or recent graduates (internship position).
Responsibilities
Support verification activities across planning, test development, and analysis.
- Document verification test plans in collaboration with architects and designers.
- Write and debug tests targeting architecture and micro-architecture behavior.
- Generate and analyze coverage to assess verification completeness.
- Work closely with hardware architects and designers to clarify verification requirements and design intent.
- Communicate findings, blockers, and technical questions clearly to the team.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and attributes for the role.
- Familiarity with verification methodologies used for CPU/GPU-class designs.
- Proficient in at least one: SystemVerilog, SystemC, or C/C++ (UVM is a plus).
- Ability to write, debug, and evaluate tests and coverage metrics.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and written/verbal technical communication skills.
- Prepared to collaborate cross-functionally with architects and designers during the internship period.
- Preferred: project experience with computer architecture, RTL design, ML systems, exposure to assembly/low-level code, scripting (Python) and practical use of LLMs to accelerate tasks.
Education Requirements
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Related coursework or project experience in computer architecture, RTL design, or ML systems is relevant.
