Job Title
Data Fabric Verification Engineer — SystemVerilog/UVM Expert
Role Summary
Work on the verification team in Austin, TX to develop and execute verification plans for a data fabric / interconnect design. The role focuses on building UVM/SystemVerilog testbenches, running regressions, debugging RTL issues, and meeting verification quality metrics.
This is a hands-on engineering role requiring cross-functional coordination with design and software teams to close coverage and ensure silicon readiness.
Experience Level
Mid-level. Target candidate has approximately 5–20 years of verification experience, able to independently develop SystemVerilog/UVM testbenches and lead verification tasks.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and implement SystemVerilog/UVM testbenches and verification IP.
- Write directed and constrained-random tests, checkers, and assertions.
- Define and track coverage metrics; drive coverage closure to targets.
- Run regressions, analyze failures, and debug root causes at the RTL level.
- Collaborate with RTL designers and software engineers to resolve issues and iterate on verification plans.
- Automate verification flows and maintain regression infrastructure using scripting.
- Prepare verification reports and present verification status and quality metrics.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- Strong expertise in SystemVerilog and UVM.
- Practical experience with functional verification tools (simulators, coverage analysis).
- 5+ years of ASIC/SoC verification experience (source specifies 5–20 years).
- Experience developing constrained-random tests, assertions, and coverage-driven methodologies.
- Familiarity with version control, regression automation, and scripting (Python, Tcl, Perl) for test automation.
- Effective communication and ability to work with cross-functional engineering teams.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with Data/Infinity Fabric or complex interconnect verification.
- Experience with emulation or hardware-assisted verification platforms.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field is preferred.
