Job Title

CPU Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Work on verification of ARM-architecture CPU cores designed for AI acceleration as part of the CPU engineering team in Bengaluru. The role focuses on unit-level and end-to-end verification, testbench and stimulus development, and close collaboration with design and architecture teams.

Drive verification strategy improvements, including adoption of AI-accelerated workflows to increase coverage and efficiency.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” 2+ years of CPU verification experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include verification planning, testbench and stimulus development, and collaboration to validate architectural and microarchitectural features.

  • Verify ARM architecture-based CPU cores at unit and feature level.
  • Create and execute unit-level verification plans and implement new testbench components.
  • Develop stimulus using external and in-house RIS tools for end-to-end verification.
  • Collaborate with design and architecture teams to verify architectural and microarchitectural features.
  • Analyze failures, debug functional issues, and drive bug resolution.
  • Improve verification strategies and incorporate AI-accelerated workflows to enhance efficiency.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

  • At least 2 years of hands-on CPU verification experience.
  • Proven expertise in ARM architecture and CPU microarchitecture verification.
  • Strong understanding of verification methodologies and common verification tools.
  • Experience with stimulus generation and verification automation (RIS or similar tools).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Nice-to-have:

  • Detailed understanding of ARMv9 architecture and cache-coherency concepts.
  • Experience with unit-level verification of branch predictor, frontend, or load-store units in high-performance cores.
  • Exposure to AI-accelerated verification workflows.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
