Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced SoC/Chip Design professional to lead the development of advanced networking silicon targeted at the data center AI networking market. This role requires significant expertise in managing SOC design teams and overseeing the entire design process from RTL to GDS along with post-silicon bring-up and validation.

Experience Level

Ideal candidates should have a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in SOC design, demonstrating a thorough understanding of systems architecture and high-speed networking technologies.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Defining product features, capabilities, and driving technical specifications for SoCs and IP blocks.
  • Ensuring design quality through tools such as LINT, CDC, LEC, and SYNTHESIS during the front-end integration.
  • Collaborating with the Physical Design team to establish a solid floorplan and drive improvements in schedules and handoff methodologies.
  • Working closely with design teams to refine area and floorplan specifications, timing targets, and conduct performance/power verification sign-offs.
  • Comprehending the SOC as a complete system, aligning firmware for highlighted features while optimizing for performance and power.
  • Cross-functionally supporting IP architects and designers to assess complex technical issues and risks.
  • Facilitating post-silicon team efforts regarding performance and functional issue resolution.
  • Escalating issues to management to identify mitigation plans proactively.

Requirements

Candidates should possess strong communication and presentation skills, complemented by an ability to mentor and guide team members. The ideal applicant will have a background that includes a strong foundation in systems & SoC architecture with expertise in various subsystems including CPU, networking, memory, and virtualization.

Education Requirements

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering is required for this position.
