Role Summary
As a Senior Software Engineer at Siemens, you will join the Calibre product software development team, focusing on the development of high-capacity and high-performance software for integrated circuit (IC) verification in the semiconductor industry. You will collaborate with various teams to deliver high-quality products while participating in best practices in software development.
Experience Level
Senior level with 10-15 years of experience in software development.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and developing software for IC verification.
- Contributing to new components and algorithms while maintaining existing components.
- Collaborating with product management and other team members.
- Participating in task scheduling and estimation.
- Defining and developing software development best practices.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience include:
- BS/MS/Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- 10-15 years of software development experience in C and C++ on Linux.
- Knowledge of high-performance data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
Nice-to-have knowledge includes:
- VLSI design principles.
- Experience in EDA, particularly in Physical Verification.
- Multi-threaded and distributed computing techniques.
- Graph theory and computational geometry.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Education Requirements
Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science is required.
