Role Summary

Siemens EDA is seeking a senior software engineer to join the Calibre product software development team. The role focuses on designing, developing, and supporting high-capacity and high-performance software for IC verification, aimed at the semiconductor industry.

Experience Level

Senior level, with 10-15 years of relevant experience in software development.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing software for integrated circuit verification.
  • Enhancing existing components and algorithms.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams for product delivery.
  • Participating in task scheduling and estimation.
  • Assisting in defining software development best practices.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications:

  • BS/MS/Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Strong skills in analysis, design, and problem-solving.
  • 10-15 years of experience in C and C++ software development on Linux.
  • Knowledge of high-performance data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.

Nice-to-have knowledge in:

  • VLSI design principles.
  • High-volume data processing techniques.
  • Graph theory, computational geometry, and multi-threaded computing.
  • Development of high quality, testable, and maintainable software.

Education Requirements

Expected degrees: BS, MS, or Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
