Job Title

ATE Test Engineer

Role Summary

Develop and support automated test equipment (ATE) programs and related automation to move NVIDIA GPU and board products from design into mass production. Work with cross-functional teams and overseas manufacturing partners to improve yield, test coverage, capacity, and cost.

Team interaction includes Product Development Engineering, DFT, and IC design; responsibilities span ATE program development, debugging, automation, and production validation.

Experience Level

Mid-level — requires 3+ years of relevant semiconductor industry experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focus on building and maintaining production-capable test solutions and collaborating on product debug and yield improvement.

  • Define, develop, implement, and support ATE test program solutions for advanced GPU chips and assembled boards.
  • Develop and debug ATE test method code and test scripts; maintain and improve automation tools.
  • Use the Advantest 93K ATE platform for test implementation and troubleshooting.
  • Participate in cross-functional debug with Product Development, DFT, and IC design teams to identify and resolve product failures.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to increase yields, test coverage, and production capacity while reducing costs.
  • Perform SRAM testing and support validation related to 2.5D or MCM assembly.
  • Contribute to system-level testing/validation and incorporate AI techniques in ATE testing where applicable.

Requirements

Technical skills and experience required or preferred.

  • Must-have: Practical experience with silicon verification, testing, and manufacturing processes.
  • Must-have: Hands-on experience with the Advantest 93K ATE platform.
  • Must-have: Proficiency with Linux and programming/scripting (C, C++, Java, Perl, Python or similar).
  • Must-have: Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with international, cross-functional teams.
  • Must-have: Familiarity with SRAM testing and multi-die assembly (2.5D/MCM).
  • Must-have: Understanding of DFT insertion techniques such as SCAN, ATPG, MBIST and IOBIST.
  • Nice-to-have: Knowledge of Silicon Photonics, CPO, optical engines, and high-speed I/O.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience applying AI methods in ATE testing and system-level validation.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent technical field — or equivalent practical experience.
