Job Title
ATE Test Engineer
Role Summary
Responsible for bringing GPU, Tegra and Automotive products from design engineering into mass production by developing, characterizing and supporting ATE test programs and production test methodologies.
Works with cross-functional and overseas manufacturing teams to improve yield, test coverage and capacity, reduce production cost, and debug product failures.
Experience Level
Mid-level β typically requires 3+ years of relevant experience in IC design, application or ATE testing of VLSI.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include test program bring-up, debug, and continuous improvement of production test programs.
- Define, develop, implement and support ATE test program bring-up, characterization and production for GPU/Tegra/Automotive products.
- Develop and refine test methods; debug and integrate timings, levels, patterns, TM and test flow into test programs.
- Own and improve production test methodologies for quality and efficiency.
- Analyze LB schematics and board design to support hardware debug.
- Collaborate with Product Development Engineering, DFT and IC design teams to debug failures and implement corrective actions.
- Write and maintain scripts/tools to increase the test engineering group's productivity.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications and skills.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in IC design, application testing or ATE testing of VLSI.
- Hands-on experience with Advantest 93K ATE platform (SmarTest 8) is essential.
- Strong debugging and analytical skills; critical thinking and effective communication.
- Understanding of DFT insertion techniques including SCAN, ATPG, MBIST and IOBIST.
Nice-to-have:
- Analog circuit design experience, including PLLs.
- System-level testing/validation and active thermal management knowledge.
- Product engineering experience: yield analysis, vmin/fmax characterization, defect analysis.
- Familiarity with Linux and scripting/programming languages such as Perl, Python, C/C++ or Java.
Education Requirements
