Work with cross-functional engineering and overseas manufacturing teams to improve test coverage, increase yield and reduce production cost.
Experience Level
Mid-level. The role expects approximately 3+ years of relevant experience in IC design, application testing, or ATE testing.
Responsibilities
The engineer will own ATE test program bring-up and production support, test methodology, and tools to support mass production.
- Define, develop, implement and support ATE test program bring-up, characterization and production for GPU/Tegra/Automotive products.
- Construct or enhance test methods and integrate timings, levels, patterns, TM and test flow into test programs.
- Characterize and debug test programs; drive improvements in test quality and efficiency.
- Collaborate with Product Development Engineering, DFT, and IC design teams to debug product failures and implement solutions.
- Write and maintain scripts and tools to automate test engineering tasks and improve group productivity.
- Support overseas manufacturing teams on test implementation, capacity and yield improvements.
Requirements
Core technical skills and practical experience required for on-production ATE testing.
Must-have
- 3+ years of experience in IC design, application testing, or ATE testing of VLSI.
- Hands-on experience with Advantest 93K ATE platform (SmarTest 7 and 8).
- Strong debugging and analytical skills; ability to root-cause test and product failures.
- Working communication and teamwork skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Understanding of DFT insertion techniques including SCAN, ATPG, MBIST and IOBIST.
Nice-to-have
