ATE Test Development Engineer
Role Summary
The ATE Test Development Engineer role is within Broadcom's Global Operations supporting the Core Switching Group. This position focuses on developing test hardware and programs for high-power networking switches designed for NICs and diverse networking applications in traditional and AI data centers. The role is based at the R&D center in Irvine, CA or San Jose, CA.
Experience Level
Senior level, requiring 6+ years of relevant experience with a Master’s degree, or 8+ years with a Bachelor’s degree.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities include:
- Developing ATE test programs for high-speed networking switches with high-power designs.
- Overseeing the development of test hardware, including collaborating with PCB and probe vendors.
- Debugging and bringing up test hardware on ATE systems.
- Optimizing test programs for yield improvement while maintaining quality.
- Collaborating closely with Product Engineers and Design Engineers.
- Communicating with production teams to release test programs.
Requirements
Essential skills and experiences for this role include:
- Hands-on experience with Teradyne UltraFlex tester platforms.
- Ability to develop complex test programs independently.
- Proficiency in debugging and troubleshooting with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in volume data analysis and failure correlation.
- Programming experience for test method development.
- Familiarity with extreme temperature testing of ASICs.
- Experience with AI tools for test script development is a plus.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of experience or Master's Degree with 6+ years of experience in a related field.
