ASIC Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Contract ASIC verification engineer supporting SoC development on a short-term (2β3 month) hybrid assignment in San Diego, CA. The role focuses on verification and testbench development for Ethernet, USB, and AXI IP blocks.
Works with IP designers and system integration teams to develop, run, and debug verification scenarios to ensure IP and subsystem quality.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include verification of IP and SoC-level functionality and delivering reliable testbenches and test cases.
- Develop and execute verification tests for Ethernet and USB IPs.
- Design and implement SystemVerilog testbenches and verification environments.
- Run simulations and regressions on Cadence Xcelium.
- Verify AXI bus interactions and protocol compliance.
- Debug failures, analyze waveforms, and document issues for engineers.
- Collaborate with IP designers and integration teams to reproduce and resolve bugs.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and tools for immediate contribution.
- Strong ASIC verification experience using SystemVerilog.
- Experience testing Ethernet IPs (10/100/1G).
- Experience testing USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 IPs.
- Experience with AXI bus protocol and verification.
- Familiarity with Cadence Xcelium simulator.
- Ability to write test code in C for verification environments.
- Available for a 2β3 month contractor assignment in San Diego (hybrid).
