Job Title
ASIC Verification Engineer - ARM
Role Summary
Remote verification engineer responsible for developing and executing verification for ARM-based IP blocks (Cortex-A v9 CPU, Mali GPU, CSS600/Coresight debug IP). The role is an individual-contributor position owning verification activities across the project lifecycle.
Collaborate with cross-functional and global verification teams to improve verification processes, test environments, and overall design quality.
Experience Level
Mid-level; 5–8 years of verification experience with at least 5 years of strong hands-on verification experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include ownership of verification for ARM IP blocks and close collaboration with design and verification teams.
- Develop verification plans, UVM environments, and C-based test cases for ARM IPs.
- Create and run constraint-random tests, assertions, and coverage-driven tests; perform coverage analysis.
- Perform RTL review and debug at block and (sub)system levels; execute gate-level simulation (GLS).
- Reuse and integrate vendor/manufacturer testbenches into verification environments.
- Participate in specification and design reviews; provide architectural and verification feedback.
- Collaborate to improve CI/CD, revision-control workflows, and verification processes.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and proficiencies.
- 5+ years hands-on ASIC verification experience with UVM/SystemVerilog and related methodologies (constraint-random, assertions, coverage).
- Strong experience with ARM IPs: Cortex-A v9, Mali GPU, CSS600/Coresight debug IP.
- Experience designing and implementing C-based test cases to configure and test ARM IPs and reusing manufacturer testbenches.
- Experience building and using UVM-based test environments for block-level verification and reusing them at subsystem level.
- Ability to read and understand RTL (SystemVerilog, Verilog, VHDL).
- Familiarity with formal verification, gate-level simulation, coverage analysis, and KPI testing.
- Experience with revision control systems and CI/CD techniques.
- Strong collaboration, documentation, and written/verbal communication skills; ability to work independently.
Education Requirements
Not specified.
