Job Title
ASIC Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Individual contributor responsible for planning and executing verification for ARM-based IP blocks (CPU Cortex-A v9, GPU Mali, Debug CSS600/CoreSight).
Work with global verification and design teams to develop verification plans, UVM environments, tests, coverage analysis, and debugging to assure design quality across the project lifecycle.
Experience Level
Mid-level — approximately 5+ years of ASIC verification experience preferred.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Own verification for core ARM-related IP blocks and lead block-level verification activities.
- Create and execute verification plans, test cases, and UVM environments.
- Develop C-based tests to configure and validate ARM IPs and reuse vendor-provided testbenches where applicable.
- Perform coverage analysis, assertions, formal methods, and gate-level simulations; monitor verification KPIs.
- Debug functional issues in collaboration with design teams and support specification and architectural reviews.
- Collaborate with the global verification team to improve processes, methodologies, and tool flows.
Requirements
Must-have:
- 5+ years hands-on ASIC verification experience with modern methodologies (UVM/SystemVerilog, constraint-random verification, assertions, coverage analysis, formal verification, gate-level simulation).
- Strong, practical experience with ARM-related IPs: CPU (Cortex-A v9), GPU (Mali), Debug (CSS600, CoreSight), or similar.
- Experience designing and implementing C-based test cases for ARM IPs and reusing manufacturer test benches.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience creating and reusing UVM-based test environments at block and subsystem levels.
- Ability to read and understand RTL (SystemVerilog, Verilog, VHDL).
- Familiarity with revision control systems and CI/CD techniques for verification flows.
- Strong communication, documentation, and cross-team collaboration skills.
Education Requirements
Not specified.
