Role Summary

Senior engineering role responsible for silicon qualification, reliability, and quality for ASIC products within the Annapurna Labs organization. The role leads DFQR/DFT activities, defines and executes qualification and reliability test plans, and coordinates with product, test, and manufacturing teams to drive quality and yield improvements.

Experience Level

Level: Senior. Requires substantial industry experience (typically 8+ years of relevant post-degree experience as described in Education Requirements).

Responsibilities

The engineer will own qualification and reliability activities across design, test, and manufacturing:

  • Lead DFQR and DFT activities and perform risk assessments during product design.
  • Develop and execute product qualification and Q&R plans, including HTOL, LU and ESD testing.
  • Drive manufacturing vendors for quality control, disposition of nonconforming material, and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with product and test teams to improve FT tests and debugging methods.
  • Manage device RMA process, failure analysis (FA), disposition, reporting, and corrective actions.
  • Work with fab production flows to support ramp, yield, and reliability objectives.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

  • Proven experience with DFRT/DFQR for silicon die qualification.
  • Hands-on experience designing HTOL hardware and implementing reliability stress tests.
  • Knowledge of silicon failure modes and mechanisms and failure analysis techniques.
  • Experience with reliability stress methodologies and statistical analysis of reliability data.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor physics, VLSI IC design, manufacturing, testing, and FA processes.
  • Experience in IC and system-level testing, debugging, and test improvement.
  • Direct experience with semiconductor industry fab production flows and vendor management.

Education Requirements

Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or a related field plus eight years of relevant experience; employer will accept a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or a related field plus ten years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience as equivalent. Foreign equivalents and equivalent practical experience as described by the employer are permitted.
