Role Summary

Please join us as an ASIC & FPGA Design Engineer, working within the central ASIC & FPGA Engineering division for Lockheed Martin Space. You will support over 50 different programs and research and development efforts, impacting technology across military, civil, and commercial space sectors.

Experience Level

Entry-level; requires at least 1 year of professional experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting all aspects of ASIC and FPGA development, including architecture, design, analysis, and testing.
  • Working with low SWaP, radiation-hardened space-rated devices.
  • Conducting technical reviews and presenting findings to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with an independent verification team to ensure design compliance.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience or coursework in FPGA and/or ASIC design.
  • HDL programming experience with VHDL, Verilog, and/or SystemVerilog.
  • US citizenship is required, and ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

Nice-to-have qualifications include knowledge of the ASIC/FPGA lifecycle (architecture, design, validation, integration & test) and experience in digital design.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required.
