Role Summary

The ASIC Floor Plan Automation Engineer at Broadcom will be part of a skilled team responsible for developing, testing, and enhancing floorplanning methodologies and flows for ASIC designs. This role involves automation tasks around 3D flow development including bump insertion, clock planning, and power planning.

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities include:

  • Developing and testing floorplanning methodologies.
  • Automating tasks related to bump insertion and clock planning.
  • Conducting quality of results analysis.
  • Utilizing existing resources to solve new problems.
  • Root causing issues and applying problem-solving skills.
  • Designing solutions that are maintainable and adaptable.

Requirements

The following qualifications are required:

  • BS in Electrical/Computer/Software Engineering and/or Computer Science.
  • 8+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as TCL, Ruby, and BASH.
  • Experience with EDA tools like Innovus and Integrity3D.
  • Professional, open, and highly self-motivated attitude.

Additionally, experience in semiconductor floorplanning, design automation and flows development, and Linux would be beneficial.

Education Requirements

BS in Electrical, Computer or Software Engineering, or Computer Science.
