ASIC Engineer Intern, Design Verification
Role Summary
Join Meta's Infrastructure ASIC team in Bangalore to participate in design and verification of accelerators used in data center servers. The intern will work with ASIC engineers to develop verification tests, debug failures, and improve verification methodology.
Internships run 12 to 16 weeks and focus on practical verification work for advanced IPs and system-level components.
Experience Level
Entry-level (Intern). This is a student internship position; candidates should be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate engineering program and intend to return to their degree program after the internship. Duration: 12–16 weeks.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include verification development, debugging, and process improvement.
- Develop tests, checkers, and coverage metrics to verify designs.
- Gain and apply knowledge of design architecture and microarchitecture.
- Write SystemVerilog/UVM/C test content and supporting code.
- Develop scripts to automate verification and related processes.
- Debug test failures and collaborate with design, verification, and modeling teams to implement and verify fixes.
- Contribute to verification methodology and process improvements.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills, legal requirements, and candidate expectations for the internship.
- Must-have: Knowledge of computer architecture and digital logic design fundamentals.
- Must-have: Ability to think critically and creatively about verification approaches and problem solving.
- Must-have: Must obtain and maintain work authorization in India at the time of hire.
- Must-have: Intent to return to an academic degree program after the internship.
- Nice-to-have: Familiarity with SystemVerilog, VHDL, Verilog, and UVM.
- Nice-to-have: Scripting experience with Python or Perl.
Education Requirements
Currently enrolled in, or in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering field (required). Preferred candidates may be pursuing a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields. Candidates must intend to return to their degree program after the internship.
