ASIC Digital Design Senior Manager
Role Summary
Lead a Noida-based team responsible for verification and delivery of complex ASIC designs, with emphasis on high-speed protocols and functional correctness prior to tapeout.
Own verification strategy, testbench architecture, and cross-functional alignment with architects, RTL designers, and VIP teams to reduce defects and time-to-market.
Experience Level
Senior β typically 15+ years of hands-on ASIC design and verification experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include technical leadership, delivery ownership, and team development.
- Manage and mentor a team of design and verification engineers in Noida; oversee performance and project execution across multiple ASIC projects.
- Define and own verification strategy, testplan and coverage models for complex, high-speed protocol designs.
- Architect and review UVM/SystemVerilog-based verification environments and coverage-driven verification flows.
- Collaborate with architects, RTL designers, and VIP teams to resolve ambiguities and ensure functional correctness before tapeout.
- Investigate, reproduce, and root-cause customer-reported issues and field failures.
- Improve verification methodologies, tooling, automation, and team productivity.
- Prioritize tasks and schedules across projects; push back on unrealistic timelines and communicate trade-offs to stakeholders.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills, tools, and leadership experience.
- 15+ years of hands-on ASIC design and verification experience, with deep knowledge of high-speed protocols and complex digital systems.
- Strong proficiency in Verilog, VHDL, and SystemVerilog for RTL design and verification.
- Proven experience building and maintaining UVM-based verification environments, including coverage analysis and constrained stimulus.
- Scripting skills for automation (BASH, TCSH, Perl, Python, or Tcl).
- Demonstrated track record of managing, mentoring, and developing engineering teams while contributing technically.
- Experience working effectively through ambiguous requirements and incomplete specifications.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience coordinating with VIP teams and with tapeout cycles.
