The role involves architecting, implementing, and validating firmware for embedded microprocessors in advanced SerDes and PHY IP. The candidate will lead silicon bring-up and debug cycles, collaborating with design, DV, validation, and applications teams to ensure high-quality silicon products.

Experience Level

Senior; 5+ years of experience in embedded firmware development and debugging.

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities include:

• Architect, implement, and validate firmware for embedded microprocessors.
• Lead silicon bring-up and debug cycles.
• Apply mixed-signal debugging expertise to isolate HW/FW boundary issues.
• Develop high-quality embedded code in C/C++.
• Scale automation through CI/CD pipelines.
• Define validation strategies and create automated test cases.
• Build AI-assisted firmware workflows.
• Lead process maturity initiatives to establish standards for coding and documentation.
• Mentor and provide technical leadership to elevate team capability.

Requirements

Must-have skills include:

• Embedded firmware experience with 5+ years in silicon products.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and strong scripting skills in Python.
• Demonstrated strength in silicon bring-up and root-cause analysis.
• Experience in mixed-signal systems and debugging related issues.
• Track record in building automation and test frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with AI tooling for engineering workflows.
• Strong collaboration skills across multiple functional teams.

Education Requirements

BSEE/MSEE or equivalent practical experience is required.
