Job Title
ASIC DFT Technical Leader
Role Summary
Join the Common Hardware Group (CHG) as an ASIC DFT Technical Leader supporting Silicon One chip development. Lead DFT strategy and execution across front‑end RTL, back‑end physical design, implementation, and post‑silicon validation to ensure testability and quality of high‑performance networking ASICs.
Experience Level
Senior — typically requires 10+ years of relevant DFT, test, or silicon engineering experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Define and drive DFT requirements early in the design cycle with RTL and physical design teams.
- Architect and integrate scan, JTAG, BIST (including memory BIST), and boundary‑scan solutions.
- Plan and execute ATPG flows and EDA test flows through implementation and signoff.
- Lead gate‑level simulation, failure analysis and debug using VCS and similar tools.
- Lead post‑silicon validation activities, including ATE pattern development and use of P1687.
- Collaborate on DFT CAD, test methodology, infrastructure, and test‑timing verification across teams.
Requirements
Key qualifications and skills:
-
Must-have: Significant hands-on experience in DFT, test, and silicon engineering with practical knowledge of scan, JTAG, BIST, ATPG, gate‑level simulation, and post‑silicon validation.
- Experience with ATPG and EDA toolsets such as TestMax, Tetramax, Tessent, and PrimeTime.
- Gate‑level debugging and simulation experience (e.g., VCS) and failure analysis workflows.
- Post‑silicon validation experience, including ATE patterns and P1687.
-
Nice-to-have: Verilog DFT logic development and IP integration, DFT CAD/tool development, Test Static Timing Analysis, SystemVerilog equivalency checking, and test‑timing validation.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering is required; the posting specifies at least 10 years of related experience. No alternative "equivalent experience" language is provided in the source.
