Job Title
ASIC Design Verification Architect
Role Summary
Lead verification architect responsible for designing and implementing verification environments for Interface IP (for example PCIe, CXL, DDR, Ethernet, AMBA). Ensures functional correctness, coverage closure, and delivery of production-grade ASIC IP.
Works within a verification team, collaborates with design and architecture groups, and mentors junior engineers.
Experience Level
Senior — experienced ASIC digital verification engineer with mentoring and leadership responsibilities. Years of experience not specified.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include building verification environments, executing test plans, and driving coverage closure.
- Design, implement, and optimize verification environments for Interface IP protocols.
- Create, execute, and track detailed test plans and regression suites for complex ASIC designs.
- Develop and maintain verification IP and testbenches using SystemVerilog, UVM, and SVA.
- Perform functional coverage analysis and drive coverage closure.
- Collaborate with design and architecture teams to identify and resolve bugs.
- Mentor and guide junior verification engineers on best practices and methodologies.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- Extensive ASIC digital verification experience with Interface IP protocols such as PCIe, CXL, DDR, Ethernet, AMBA (CHI, AXI, AHB, APB).
- Proficiency in SystemVerilog, UVM, and SVA.
- Experience with simulation tools such as VCS or ModelSim (or similar).
- Strong understanding of digital design and verification concepts and familiarity with the RTL-to-synthesis flow.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; effective cross-functional communication.
- Proven experience mentoring or leading junior engineers.
Nice-to-have:
