ASIC Design Engineer

Role Summary

Work as an ASIC Design Engineer at eInfochips (an Arrow company) on advanced ASIC projects based in Mountain View, CA. The role focuses on front-end RTL design, high-speed PCIe interfaces, protocol integration, and delivering semiconductor design services to customers.

Contribute to RTL development, IP integration, automation, and timing signoff for customer-facing ASIC deliveries.

Experience Level

Mid-level — minimum 5 years of relevant ASIC/Verilog design experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Implement RTL in Verilog/SystemVerilog for ASIC projects.
• Use front-end tools: Verilog simulators and CDC checkers for verification and linting.
• Design and validate high-speed PCIe interfaces and work with protocols such as AMBA AXI and APB.
• Integrate IP (including ARM fabric IPs) and use IP-XACT for metadata-driven integration.
• Develop automation scripts in Python, Tcl, and Perl.
• Use EDA tools like VCS, Fusion Compiler, and Design Compiler in the design/verification flow.
• Apply low-power techniques (UPF) and handle clock-crossing scenarios.
• Perform Static Timing Analysis and support timing signoff.
• Report technical progress to customers and stakeholders.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in Verilog/SystemVerilog RTL design.
• Strong RTL design skills and solid digital design fundamentals; experience with STA and timing signoff.
• Experience with EDA tools (Fusion Compiler, Design Compiler, VCS) and CDC tools.
• Experience with high-speed PCIe designs and AMBA AXI; familiarity with ARM or C-based processors.
• Proficiency scripting in Python, Tcl, and/or Perl for automation.
• Experience with low-power design flows (UPF) and clock-crossing techniques.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with IP integration workflows and IP-XACT metadata.
