Role Summary

The Applications Engineering Staff Engineer is responsible for leading technical activities to address customer needs in simulation software. This role involves analyzing customer workflows, delivering product presentations, and providing expert technical support to enhance customer satisfaction and enable effective solutions.

Experience Level

Senior level; Minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering software environment preferred.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead and coordinate technical sales activities, including customer meetings and product demonstrations.
• Analyze customer technical needs to provide optimal simulation solutions.
• Develop and deliver training on Synopsys products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance solution offerings.
• Build relationships with customers and translate their needs into actionable product development requests.
• Ensure customer success metrics are met through hands-on deployment services.
• Participate in internal initiatives aimed at improving sales enablement and personal development.

Requirements

Required qualifications include:

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in engineering software.
• Proficiency in Synopsys software or equivalent CAE, CAD, EDA tools.
• Strong knowledge of Power Integrity (PI), Signal Integrity (SI), and EMI simulation.
• Exceptional communication skills, fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Problem-solving abilities and organizational skills with urgency.
• Experience with Python programming and IC/3DIC design is a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 60% as required.

Education Requirements

Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline is required.
