Applications Engineering Staff Engineer

Role Summary

We are looking for an Applications Engineering Staff Engineer with extensive experience in high-speed protocols and a proficiency in AMBA bus interfaces. This role focuses on providing technical support and consultation to customers, ensuring optimal integration of our solutions.

Experience Level

This position requires a candidate with 8 or more years of practical experience in applications engineering, particularly in the semiconductor or integrated circuit design industries.

Responsibilities

• Provide post-sales technical consultation for configuration, integration, simulation, and post-silicon bring-up of various interface IPs.
• Collaborate with a global team to deliver in-depth technical knowledge to Synopsys customers.
• Conduct detailed presentations on the integration of Synopsys IP solutions.
• Create documentation and collateral to enhance user experience.
• Utilize AI tools to automate workflows and improve operational efficiencies.

Requirements

• Prior experience with high-speed protocols such as DDR, PCIe, or Ethernet.
• Familiarity with AMBA bus interfaces and ASIC design tools.
• Strong UNIX and HDL skills (Verilog/VHDL).
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering or VLSI design related field.
• Exposure to AI tools and workflows is a plus.

Education Requirements

Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering or a closely related field with a focus on VLSI design.
