Applications Engineering Staff Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for an Applications Engineering Staff Engineer to join our team, focusing on enhancing semiconductor design processes and contributing to innovative chip development.

Position Summary

This role requires a deep understanding of frontend synthesis and backend physical design, as well as considerable hands-on experience in RTL2GDS design flow and low power design methodologies.

Experience Level

Applicants should have over 10 years of direct design experience, particularly in areas related to advanced semiconductor processing and EDA tools.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Work on both frontend synthesis and backend physical design.
• Utilize PnR tools like ICCII and Fusion Compiler.
• Automate processes using scripting skills.
• Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Essential Requirements

Candidates must have a mix of the following skills:

• BS/MS degree with over 10 years of practical design experience.
• Proficient in backend physical design, experience in frontend synthesis is optional.
• Solid scripting abilities in languages such as Perl and TCL.
• Strong knowledge of IC Compiler I/II and EDA tools.
• Fluency in business-level English.

Education Requirements

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field is essential.
